On the old Turkish road, in front of Begalić hill, where caravans used to rest their horses and travelers sought shade and a sip of comfort, stood the tavern of Milić's great-grandfather, the progenitor of the Milićević family.
The year was 1792, and time was then measured by glasses of wine and honest words between people. In that tavern, under the oak roof and the shadow of the Podavali slopes, wine was served red as passion, white as peace of the soul. The grapes were cultivated by hands that knew the land better than words. The earth breathed, the sun gilded the vines, and the winds carried the scent of wine down the road to those who knew how to stop and feel the life in the drops.
Wine then was more than a drink, it was a vow, a prayer and a song. It was drunk when you were born, when you got married, when you mourned and when you celebrated. The tavern breathed, intermittently, until after the First World War, when the doors closed and the last passenger left his glass on the table.
But the tradition does not die out.

I danas, kada se čaša podigne, u svakom gutljaju odzvanja šum prošlih vekova, glas dede iz kafane, miris zemlje sa Podavala, toplo sunce koje ljubi grozd.
